Jolisa Luekenga teaches private violin and group piano, Foundations 4 Music and Foundations 4 Preschool at Brenham Music Academy. Jolisa is a member of the Texas Music Educators Association and is a certified teacher for Let’s Play Music. 

Jolisa's love of music began when she was very young, singing at her church and school. She began playing violin in a school orchestra at age eleven, and began taking private violin lessons soon after that. She played violin in the school orchestra and in a small chamber orchestra throughout high school, and at Idaho State University where she received an Associate’s Degree in General Studies with a minor in music. She completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education at Western Governors University.

Ms. Luekenga has been teaching private violin lessons for the past ten years, In addition she has 10 years experience teaching beginner piano and theory lessons. She is currently teaching music classes at Maggie B. Selman Elementary School in Sealy, Texas. She enjoys teaching students of all ages and her students love her!
